I want to share with you 8 key questions that will help you choose your next destination. Each of these questions is a tool that will serve as a filter to choose the ideal trip for you and your family.

The objective of these questions is for you to work on them together, first analyzing external factors, and then looking inward and directing your attention towards yourself. The first questions are the most general and as we go, they will get more and more specific.

1. Where have I always wanted to go? Because we can’t start without asking ourselves what are all those places that we have always wanted to know.
2. What is my budget? Having a defined budget will help you have clarity and will allow you to decide several things: The length of your trip, the type of activities, possible destinations, how far you can go, etc.
3. How much time do I have? For this question we are going to consider 2 things: How much time you have until your trip, and how long it will last. Knowing this information will help you decide how complicated planning can be and which destinations are best suited to the time you have available.
4. When would my trip be? With this question we want to discover the time of year you would travel and how that could affect the destination you decide to visit.
5. How am I feeling? Now that you have answered all the questions that focus on external factors in choosing your next destination, it is time to turn your attention inward. We know that travel has the ability to elevate us in various areas of our lives.
6. How do I want to feel during my trip? Once you are clear about how you feel, it is time to analyze what type of emotions and sensations you want to have when traveling.
7. How do I want to feel when I return? One last, but important question directed towards your feelings. Focusing on what you want to feel when you return is also a key way to choose the ideal trip for you.
8. Do I have any travel goals? Finally, I would like you to ask yourself if you would like to achieve a specific objective with your trip. These objectives can be whatever you want, learnings, experiences, achievements, etc.
